By dedicating time to the full Nilachal Hill circuit, you can visit the primary temple and the various shrines dedicated to the Dashamahavidyas and Lord Shiva. Beyond the spiritual sites, the trip includes opportunities to engage with local culture through museum visits, river cruises on the Brahmaputra, and exploration of regional art centers like the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra.

Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrival & Initial Exploration

Arrive in Guwahati and settle into your accommodation. Spend the evening at a Brahmaputra River Cruise to relax and observe the city's scenic surroundings.

Day 02 – Deep Spiritual Pilgrimage

Arrive early at the Kamakhya Temple complex. Use this time for the main darshan.After the temple's mid-day break, dedicate your time to visiting the other temples on Nilachal Hill, including those of the Dashamahavidyas. This comprehensive circuit is best spread over the full day to allow for a meditative pace.

Day 03 – Secondary Shrines & Cultural Heritage

Visit Umananda Temple on the island in the Brahmaputra river and the Navagraha Temple on Chitrachal Hill. Spend your afternoon at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra to appreciate the regional arts and cultural history of Assam.

Day 04 – Nature & Departure

Visit Basistha Ashram for a peaceful morning before your departure. Conclude your trip with some local shopping at Fancy Bazaar if time permits before heading to the airport
